since I've written here

The Other Side

At the edge of the ledge
you stand on is a view
A chance to surpass
and leave the life that you knew
Over the edge is world full of green
so many pieces of life you've only seen
from a distance
casting lots
throwing wishes to the wind

But you're afriad and your scared
cause your scarred heart's unprepared
this side ripped it from your chest
and threw it down
you watch tears, salty and blessed

I try to see it

I look around
I try to find a soul
within the consolation
of a hundred eyes so cold

I hear a sound
but no one turns, instead
Seems I'm alone
while this tune plays through my head

Its just that this is who I am
I've learned to swim deep waters
Because He made me understand
But I don't understand it all at all
but I know its so uncommonly

When I hear the wind rush through the trees
she rushes through my heart and brings a wave of peace
because the master sent her like fingers to rustle up my hair
I smile at the sky because he's there
When I see all of creation
When I hear its tune and song
I find the consolation
of his arms and it wont be long

And when I walk through deserts
feeling nothing and bone dry
I know he'll leave me never
and so I pick up again to try


Its just that this is who I am

Were Flying/ Music Box

She's finding the light
the hard way
He's dying to find
what he just can't ever seem to place
and were all trying to fight it out
and were all flying to the spout

We need it,
its life it is air
hit the ceiling
with not a moment to spare
were all flying and say we don't care
but we'll fly to the corners of the earth to see
if He's there.

He is here


Don't try to hide it
your wings are fluttering
don't try to fight it

you can't deny the finger prints on your face
they're deep within your eyes He's something you can't erase

Apathetic Apologetic

Just because the key lies on the table
doesn't mean that your able
to unlock the mystery
Just because the key lies on the table
doesn't mean you are capable
of understanding the unseen

A little apathy
has gotten beneath your skin
you've crawled inside the bars
and caged yourself in,
inside its arms
the world holds charms
swallow them whole and wake up to scars

And its scaring me
what have you got yourself into
don't say to me
that that's just what you do
cause you know now
you're not really living at all
locked up in the downside of the fall

Just because you knew once how to breath
doesn't mean it comes with ease
at least not anymore
Just because you once could see
doesn't mean you kept trying
to open up the door

I've been thinking about motives
why we do what we do and to hold it
When we stand before that throne
when we truly see the good and bad alone

Life From Death

A flower falls to the earth unnoticed and dies
with no one to weep, it neither hungers or cries
As it sinks into the soil
the seed begins to toil
and as death comes so does life

While it was alive, death was inside
now as death comes to steal,
the life breaths and heals
maybe to live is to die
and to die is to have life

My heart longs to be seen as I pass by
to not sink to the grave as common on the fly
But to take up my cross is the bring Heaven close
