40 million miles away

I look down at my hands and feet
I've felt this way but don't understand
I began to lose my sight of the street
And I saw-felt for a flash my homeland

Somewhere 40 million miles away
I float on this breath I can't breath in
I missed the inhale but drank up the day
This is a battle of knowledge I can't win
But more than 40 million miles away
is the desert of more than forty years ago
And someday I'll pass through the gates
despite how little I know

Im out of mind but I'm in his heart
I won't worry about my breathing
I know so little but I feel this is the start
Of my reassured new beginning
