Hello Robot

We're born into chaos, joy, love and strife
we find out this race is something called life
but life aint a race or all that it seems
and twenty years later we all are machines

We're born here to die
as some of them said
but the stars in the sky echo straight through our head
theres gotta be a meaning to this being alive
but the ends and the means wont meet tonight
hello
hello

and we all try to find the ends of the means
and twenty years later we all are machines
we still haven't found what our hearts desire
maybe our hearts are charred stone and not fire
we've been burnt and busied by frivolous things
all the time missing the fact we've got wings
we didn't see the face through the muck and the mire
cause we're all just machines now metal and wire
hello
hello

Maybe the means will finally have ends
when our hearts begin melting and beating to bend
maybe one day we will understand
that the beauty of choas is peace in His hands

and we all try to find the ends of the means
and twenty years later we all are machines
we still haven't found what our hearts desire
maybe our hearts are charred stone and not fire
we've been burnt and busied by frivolous things
all the time missing the fact we've got wings
we didn't see the face through the muck and the mire
cause we're all just machines now metal and wire
hello
hello

Look at all the busy work
like worms we crawl around in the dirt
but we don't have to crawl
we've got wings after all
but we busy ourselves
in our robotic shells
to keep the truth away from our space
cause we just don't want the truth of His loving face
hello
oh hello
im man not machine
as I look down below
hello
hello
come join in the sunset
a sky of His meadows
hello

and we all ingore the facts of the ends of the means
and twenty years later we all are machines

  1. This reminds me of a Pink Floyd song, except all they're songs are sad and depressing. Your's seem to be more happy.

Welcome to the Machine by Pink Floyd. I think he was kind of fed up with his life when he wrote that one.
